What I’m Reading
Wait With Me was more than I expected. With a whole lot of quirk and a good sprinkling of weird, Amy Daws spins a tale of hilarity, absolutely impossibly embarrassing situations, and one heck of a RomCom!
Kate is your normal, half mentally insane romance author, cause, well, we are all a little insane. I’ll admit it. Kate finds her long lost inspiration in the fancy waiting room of one big Tire Depot. Sneaking in and out every day, consuming large amounts of their free pastries and coffee, she manages to finally start writing the long anticipated end of her series.
In walks Miles.
Now, Miles is basically everything you want in a book boyfriend. Funny, charming, panty-melting smile and a sense of humor. (Finally a man with a friggin’ sense of humor!) He watches Kate go in and out of the Tire Depot where he works and finally meets her.
Now, if you’re looking for some emotionally gripping drama, this isn’t it. This is one of those books to read while we pretend to sit at a window while it’s raining, sipping cocoa or tea. (We’d like to have that picturesque moment, but it doesn’t beat a couch or bed when it comes to comfort. Let’s be honest.)
Final Thoughts.
Wait For Me is one of those reads you’ll devour quickly when you want something happy, uplifting. It’s something that’ll make you snort that tea or cocoa out of your nose when you laugh at the completely bawdy and ridiculous things that these characters do and say. Amy Daws made a fun, memorable story, and I’ll be looking at more of her works in the future. I love me some RomCom and she has definitely mastered this style!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐-5 stars. Must-read for Romantic Comedy lovers and anyone who liked a good laugh with their steamy romance!
